I expect that the 'tar' based floor matting that I have used would be similar to the 'Dynamat' product available at body shop supply shops for auto sound proofing applications, but it was bought from a plastics/rubber chain here in Adelaide called 'Clarke Rubber'. They sell pools, outdoor furniture & all types of petro-chemical based products.

The shape required for these sheets was also determined by the use of paper templates described previously. The matting material was cut with shears (serrated scissors) & then stuck down. I was to find out that the day that I did this was not warm enough, so the matting did not conform to the curves of the car very well. Enter the heat gun & some pushing/stretching by hand, problem solved.
