Straight film scan of original KR 100 negative of car shot on top of a bleached white cement parking garage upper deck with sun at a very high angle.. Slight levels and curve adjustments only were applied to bring scanned image (mostly washed out highlights) into viewable bounds before saving scan. non-sharpened JPG image= 23k |

Rework #1 of image using levels, curves, texturizer and noise filters. White brick wall overlayed onto original white wall using PS's texture/brick filter. Noise and sharpening were added to pavement all the way into the shadow areas. Actual hue of car not adjusted a great deal, but tree was given some saturation treatment. non-sharpened JPG image= 29k |

Rework #2 mostly shows the use of the hue adjustment on car and in the sky to a lesser degree. The hue adjustment brings out the purple in the paint that normally photographs as dark navy blue as can be seen in first 2 images. Slight magenta hue in wall was caused from this final adjustment. as a JPG progressive 3 with sharpening applied. Hope this helps some of you car photographers out there. --Eric Neyerlin |
