280ZX in Angers, France

This car is owned by two of our Z club members, Jean-Marc and Marina, who live in Angers on the Loire river in France. .

The car is a stocker with a few rare features for a French 280ZX, for example, it's factory AC. This car is one of only 7 coupes imported into France, most of the others being 2+2 ZX models.

I photographed the black1979 280ZX in a French farm court yard, in front of a barn that is over 335 years old! The picture was taken at my in-law's old farm near Limoges, France. Yes, the town of the world famous china factories. We held one of our Club de Zen meetings there last year with Z car owners coming from as far away as the UK, and Deutchland.

The farm is dated 1669... and still running strong!

I grew up in Le Chesnay, home town of the Datsun French Headquarters. So every day, while waiting for my bus, I would see loads of trucks coming and going full of Datsuns.

Today, I live in La Rochelle, France. It's on the Atlanitc coast, a very nice place, unique really...

Several years ago, Sean Dezart, the current president of the club, and myelf, started Club Zen de France, the only Z club in France today. Today we have 35+ members and many activities planned for the future, One of the best meeting we have ever had was at the 24 hour of Le Mans Classic, a 24 hour race featuring all the monsters from the real car era, Ferrari GTOs, Porsche 917s, Lolas and Jags. Next year we will be entering one of our club race cars, an ex works car that beat the hell out of the field here someways back.
