This
basic street racer body kit concept has been trashing around in
my mind for some time now.
My main interest
was to take the S30's stock windshield height and curvature, rounded
roof outline and flat, sloped hatch area as unchangeable design
features that could be integrated into a more modern and sculptural
form as opposed to staying with the relatively flat, constricted,
lithe looking Nissan hood, fender and rear end treatment that Nissan
used in the 70's
I.realize that
the design, as shown here, is not earth shakingly original, especially
in the front end nor does it reveal many body panel design features
planned, but I choose this angle because it shows some lines that
I am particularly interested in as basic starting points.
In an evolved, final design, hood detailing (& shape?) would
change quite a bit. Inspection lids would disappear, hood bulge
might be raised and vented, cowl vent design altered, front and
rear fenders would have heat exit vents or brake cooling intakes
and vents etc........and of course, custom designed tail lights,
ala Sleek Z! Traditional location of front headlights and size might
also change radically.
Note: Front
of rear fender flares will be slightly more bulbus in appearance
and taper into thicker looking doors at a more foward point in final
design.
