| With
the battery and fuel tank install complete the car was towed to the muffler
shop. 2 1/2" head pipes were installed off the headers. Then 2 1/4"
back to the two turbo mufflers with an H pipe under the tail piece of
the T5 tranny. And finally, three-inch chrome tips through the rear valance.
Flanges were installed to allow the system to be disassembled in three
major sections for servicing. Originally I planned to use one "2
in, 2 out" Flowmaster muffler. But the muffler body was just too
long. These turbos may be replaced in the future when a better fitting
(and sounding) "2 in, 2 out" can be found. |
