is an example of the Datsun Model Guides sent to the
newly established US Datsun dealerships to help them identify
the assorted Datsun models just arriving in the US as the first wave
of Japanese imports. Each was printed on one side of a 8.5 x 11"
heavy paper stock with added margin to allowed for insertion in a binder.
Most are similar to the above layout, but not exactly in each example. Some show even more details such as unique changes to front grills per that changed with each model year. On close examination the pages reveal an amazing amount of rare data and historical information that will be of great interest to Datsun enthusiasts and collectors. Presently ZP has acquired more than 60 examples of these rare Datsun Model Guides that show the very first Datsun models imported into the United States. Some thought is being given to reproducing all the Datsun model guides in a CD format to make available to Datsun collectors and and historians.
